Alice, I love this so much that we're featuring your first piece in our @weareinternetpeople weekly email that goes out to 3000+ creators next week! I found it enormously helpful and I'm excited to share it with our audience. You've got gravity on your side :)
I can tell this series is gonna be a banger, Alice. It feels like you found your brand, and I'm happy to be corny when I say "Here before 1 million subs".
Alice, your thinking and sharing here is essential, and embodies your message. It seems to me the new gravity is being of service - focus on others - first and for foremost. Without wanting/asking for something in return. Focus external rather than internal.
Service in this realm is nourishing to the one providing the service. Gravity of others will come back but that’s not the reason for the service. It is simply to be a contribution to others.
For me, this is the distinction that illuminates for me in your writing.
I’m grateful to you for helping me, and others see it. 🙏
Great work Alice. Cannot wait for all the posts in this series. You’ve hit on something with this gravity concept. I saw this on LI and the depth of the concept didn’t fully click for me until I read this post fully here and realized how the focus your words is balanced by the focus you give the reader in your words. There’s prob some cool science analogies to larger messages attracting more. Very cool.
Matt! Thank you so much. Helpful to know how you're seeing the concept. I totally agree–having empathy for your reader and just, you know, speaking to *them* is one of the pillars of having gravity. I appreciate you and can't wait to get the rest of the series in your hands!
One idea I particularly liked and can relate to: "Gravity isn’t about scale. It’s about connection."
Having even one person write to me that my post a chord with them puts the biggest smile on my face. And it blows my mind when I think about that person being on the other side of the planet!

Ah no way! That is so awesome. Thank you, Anna! Excited to see the upcoming email :)

:) Thank you for the vote of confidence Jules!
This is fascinating and I'm glad you made it a series, too. Feels like "Exactly what I need to read at this moment."
Ah that's awesome to hear. If ever have any questions in particular about the subject hit me with it!

I’m loving this series Alice!
So glad you're enjoying it Alison!
So good! Can't wait for the rest. You make a great distinction between influencer and gravity. Most writers want gravity and not influence.
This series is what I needed! Thank you!
Great post, Alice.
