Jealousy is a sign of weakness and lack of self - esteem! We’re all, at times, a bit guilty! But, too many are consumed with it!

Lol or as they say in Thailand 555 Alice 😆i started my year out taking ice baths the first three days and had a German and a Russian tell me the same exact thing, “just breath”.

I really enjoyed this little short story and it’s inspiring me to write one about my Thai teacher day ten mile run this morning :)

I find it fascinating how observing an emotion like jealousy can be used as a mirror back on myself for unmet needs or desires. Such an astute insight i needed a reminder of. 🙏

This piece really POPs off, WOP fam would be proud ;)

Hi Jen! Ah that's funny how we have similar experiences. But that first ice bath really does feel like life-or-death lol.

Hope all is well on your side of the world. Please do write about that experience with your Thai teacher–I'd love to read it!!

“The easiest of all is to sit in the sauna and not participate.” - Well said, Alice! Inaction, too, is a choice. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for reading Michael! And yes couldn't have said it better–inaction is as much of a choice as action.

As someone who is an INFJ, Judgment is in my DNA. I used to be hella critical of what people did. I realized that my judgement is a way for me to access the world and learn from it. instead of using a judgment as a place to tear people down, it now try to use my judgement as a starting platform. If that person could do this or if that person could do that. I really appreciate the different outlook on how judgment is really an indicator to focus on ourselves first.

Similarly, feeling an emotion like jealousy is communicating something to us — that there’s some unmet need or expectation in us.

The point is it’s about us, not them.

Exactly. Jealousy is such an interesting and revealing feeling if we let ourselves explore it just a little bit deeper.

the hard truth that those most critical don’t even have a freaking human picture to their profile! My book has gotten low stars from

anonymous folks only. Not. In. The. Arena.

Thank you for this gentle reminder to (use a jesus term) look at the log in our eye, lest we consume ourselves with the stick in anothers.
